Aetna Signs Agreement with Melbourne Physicians Group.

) announced today that it has reached agreement on a three-year contract with Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates (MIMA Mima

now classified as Acinetobacter.
), one of the leading multi-specialty physician group in Florida's Brevard County.

Under the new contract, which took effect Dec. 1, members of Aetna's commercial plans can receive covered in-patient and out-patient services, at in-network rates, from physicians in any of MIMA's 15 locations in Brevard County.

"As Aetna continues to grow its business in Brevard County and the rest of the Space Coast area, we're very happy to be able to give our members access to the MIMA physicians," said Ruth Fricke, Aetna's head of network operations for Florida. "It's our goal to maintain a broad network of high-quality physicians and hospitals for members to choose, and this contract supports that effort."

Aetna provides health benefits to approximately 250,000 members in Central Florida
