HARTFORD, Conn. -- Aetna's (NYSE: AET) Annual Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on Friday, April 27, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. CST, will be available through a live audio Webcast that can be accessed through the Internet on the Investor Information link at www.aetna.com.

At the meeting, Aetna shareholders as of the close of business on February 23, 2007, will consider and act on the election of directors, approval of the appointment of Aetna's independent registered public accounting firm for 2007, approval of an amendment to Aetna's Articles of Incorporation to provide for majority voting in uncontested director elections, and, if properly presented, two shareholder proposals.
