HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2001

The Board of Directors of Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET) has set Friday, April 26, 2002, as the date for the company's annual meeting of shareholders. The directors also have set February 22, 2002, as the record date for determination of shareholders entitled to vote at the annual meeting.
