Aetna Offers Tennessee Mid-Size Employers New Insurance Package Program.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Aetna (NYSE:AET) is now offering Aetna Spectrum Integrated Benefits(SM), a packaged product for mid-size employers in Tennessee. The new product combines medical, dental, life and disability plans into a single offering for employers with 51 to 124 employees. The plans are available for September 1 effective dates.

"Most businesses, regardless of size, face a challenge when choosing a comprehensive insurance package. Researching the most cost-efficient plan and then maintaining the plan's paperwork can easily daunt any employer," said Brian O'Shields, market head of sales for Aetna's Tennessee office. "We took something complicated and made it simple. We've packaged a selection of plans into an integrated program making it easier for employers to analyze, choose and manage benefit plans that best meets their distinct needs."

Aetna Spectrum Integrated Benefits offers a range of medical benefit plans designed to give employers options and flexibility. Plan options include Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Point of Service (POS), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Health Savings Account compatible plan designs. Employers can choose up to two medical plans from 38 standard designs - with integrated pharmacy coverage, one dental plan and one plan from each of the life and disability product lines. Also included is a full range of value-added features such as disease management, health screenings, and vision care that help employees stay healthy.

Aetna Spectrum Integrated Benefits also shortens the benefits decision-making and administration process with:

--A single point of contact for brokers and employers.

--A single, consolidated bill for employers enrolled in EZLink(TM), Aetna's electronic billing and eligibility system.

--One enrollment form for all products.

--Benefits management through web technology for employers and members.

--Pricing that takes advantage of multi-product synergies.

Aetna Spectrum Integrated Benefits is currently offered in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Texas, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Additional markets will be added throughout the year.

As one of the nation's leading providers of health care, dental, pharmacy, group life, disability and long-term care benefits, Aetna puts information and helpful resources to work for its approximately 14.435 million medical members, 12.976 million dental members, 9.117 million pharmacy members and 13.662 million group insurance members to help them make better informed decisions about their health care and protect their finances against health-related risks.
