Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) Taiwan announced today that Aetna Life Insurance Co. Taiwan Branch (Aetna Taiwan) is adopting CA's Unicenter TNG as its enterprise management standard and using Jasmine to develop new E-commerce applications in a full-scale effort to increase its competitiveness.

"The system will also include pre-warning capabilities to prevent potential system problems by identifying and rectifying them at an early stage."

Since it is a multi-platform system that can operate in Chinese, Unicenter TNG is the best end-to-end enterprise management solution for us. Aetna Taiwan's current operational environment is extremely large-scale, with over 1,200 PCs running Windows NT, multiple AS/400 and Unix servers, a mainframe, and diverse software ranging from end-user tools to advanced database systems. "It's not easy to manage and control this type of environment," said Mr. Chen.

Aetna Taiwan has already deployed Unicenter TNG options for asset management, remote control, network management, software delivery, Microsoft Exchange and SQL server management. The company plans to install additional Unicenter TNG options to satisfy mainframe integration needs, enhancing total enterprise control and management.
