Leading Online Retailer Offers Anytime, Anywhere Email Devices

with Service and Support from Wireless Data Leader

Aether Systems Inc., (Nasdaq: AETH), a leading provider of wireless data products and services, announced today that leading online retailer, Amazon.com, will offer BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds(TM) with service and support provided by Aether.

BlackBerry(TM) is an end-to-end wireless email Wireless Email or Push E-mail for enterprises is an email solution for small handheld platforms that is secure and managed centrally by enterprise server. Wireless technology adoption has seen a dramatic increase over the past few years.  solution developed by Research In Motion Limited (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM (Rambus Inline Memory Module) See RDRAM. See also RIM. ). The BlackBerry handhelds can be purchased at the Amazon.com Electronics store (www.amazon.com/electronics).

To begin using the wireless email, consumers will be instructed to turn to Aether, which manages activation, customer care and billing. Both BlackBerry models (RIM 950(TM) and RIM 957(TM)) - once activated by Aether - provide anywhere, anytime access to email and other personal information management services.
