The protocol involved two weeks of nightly exposure for an average of 7.2 hours per night to a simulated altitude of 4200M. The weight loss continued throughout the study for subjects who used the system for a total of six weeks. The therapy was safe for all subjects, and no subjects had to withdraw from the study for health reasons. Acceptance was high and many subjects expressed desire to continue using the therapy after the initial six week trial. Dr. Saris concluded, "At altitude (hypoxia) loss of appetite loss of appetite Medtalk Anorexia, see there  and consequently weight is observed. It has been studied and proven for over 50 years.
