 for the quarter ended September 26, 1998 totaled $27.4 million compared with $26.1 million for the three months ended September 27, l997. Net income in the third quarter of 1998 totaled $550,000, or $0.10 per share, versus a loss of $838,000 or ($0.16) per share, in the third quarter last year. Power factor correction may be applied either by an electrical power transmission utility to improve the stability and efficiency  business, as announced by the Company in August. Excluding this gain, the Company sustained a loss before taxes of $121,000, compared to a loss before taxes of $1.5 million in the same period of 1997.

Revenues for the nine months were $89.1 million versus $92.9 million in 1997. Net income for the nine-month period was $1.6 million, or $0.30 share, compared to $15,000, or $0.00 per share, for the same period in 1997.
