The KTX-2 Korean Trainer will be the first military production aircraft in use with this innovative air data system. This is a multi release program, with the initial value for the first release being approximately $3 million. Fairchild/Dornier has selected this system on their new 728 jet, thus being the first commercial application of an integrated Air Data Sensor. Both of these efforts were undertaken in cooperation with Honeywell Inc. Avionics Specialties will provide the Air Data Sensing and Integrated capabilities while Honeywell provides the Integrated Air Data module. This state-of-the-art Integrated Air Data Sensor provides aircraft manufacturers and customers with superior performance while addressing weight, cost and logistics requirements on the aircraft. This program is a multi release program with the first release consisting of 200 shipsets. |
