The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted.

Notes:
This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight
 for the five-week period ended July 1, 2006 increased 22.7% to $105.8 million, compared to $86.2 million for the five-week period ended July 2, 2005. The company's comparable store sales increased 5.3% for the month, versus a comparable store sales increase of 2.0% in the year ago period.

Fiscal year to date, total net sales have increased 18.2% to $426.0 million, compared to $360.5 million in the year-ago period. Fiscal year to date, comparable store sales decreased 0.7%, versus a comparable store sales increase of 2.2% in the year-ago period.

Julian R. Geiger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said, "We are pleased with our results for the month, which were driven by increases in both our average unit retails and transactions. The reaction to our merchandise assortment continues to be positive and we are encouraged by our momentum as we head into the back to school selling season."
