AeroShares Southeast LLC, a new company headquartered at the St. Johns County airport in St. Augustine, today launches a fractional aircraft ownership program to serve business travelers who fly extensively throughout the Southeast. The first service of its kind in the region, AeroShares provides access to 1,000 airports within a 700-mile radius of Northeast Florida. By operating in a "prime service area" in the Southeast, AeroShares controls operating costs and maintains efficiency, allowing it to offer membership in its program at a cost that is up to 40% less than that of other fractional programs.

Membership in the AeroShares program includes:

-- partial ownership of a Beechcraft King Air B200;

-- a set amount of flying hours per year at a fixed price;

-- service 24 hours a day, 365 days per year;

-- access to 1,000 airports within 700 miles of Northeast

Florida, including Atlanta, New Orleans and the Bahamas;

-- access to other aircraft in the case of non-availability due

to maintenance or usage by one of the other owners;

-- all scheduling and maintenance services.

Fractional aircraft ownership allows multiple members to own a single airplane. The number of shares of fractionally owned aircraft is on the rise, increasing by 52% from 2000-2002 according to a 2003 study conducted by Aviation Data Service Inc. in Wichita, Kansas. Compared with owning and operating a whole aircraft, fractional ownership offers a lower initial investment, reduced operating costs and the tax advantages of owning a depreciable asset.
