The Reimbursement Roadmap(TM) series explores the perspectives used by payers for their evaluation of new healthcare technology, and explains how such efforts impact product and company valuation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more regarding:

--CMS and changes to the reimbursement system due to the passage of the Medicare Modernization Act;

--Private Commercial Payers and how to obtain coverage, which leads to reimbursement; and

--Developing a Reimbursement Strategy.

"With companies under relentless pressure to commercialize successful products, meet investor expectations, and grow earnings, it is no surprise that no opportunity for enhancing performance is overlooked. Yet establishing third-party reimbursement remains a poorly understood and often-missed occasion for assuring appropriate product valuation and pricing," stated Frank J. Papatheofanis, MD, MPH, PhD, president and chief executive officer of Aequitas. "Companies that integrate R&D, marketing, and reimbursement strategies are in a better position to understand the likelihood of commercial success and the factors that will drive it."

Speakers include Frank Papatheofanis, MD, MPH, PhD, president and CEO of Aequitas; Cynthia Davis, director of equity and investment research for Aequitas; and Jayson Slotnik, director of Medicare reimbursement and economic policy, Biotechnology Industry Organization.
