"We're well-positioned to benefit from the continuing expansion of enterprise networks and Microsoft's growing share of this market," said Aelita President and Chief Executive Officer Ratmir Timashev. "Our approach from the beginning has been to design our products so that we don't have to sacrifice performance as network size expands. That philosophy is paying off as network traffic grows and speed becomes more important than ever."

Product development highlights for the quarter included the launch of ERDisk 6.0 and ERDisk for Active Directory, the first public preview of Aelita Exchange Migration Wizard, and the announcement of Aelita Enterprise Directory Manager.

The release of ERDisk 6.0 marked the continuing evolution of Aelita's market-leading disaster recovery solution. With ERDisk for Active Directory, Aelita was the first company to address the specific backup and recovery challenges of Microsoft's Active Directory. It is the only solution that provides remotely administered, automated au·to·mate

"Active Directory management will become the key concern of Windows-based network administrators and Aelita will deliver the sophisticated management and protection solutions these administrators require to realize the full benefits of Active Directory," Timashev said.

Aelita was also recognized by two leading industry publications for product excellence during the second quarter. In May, the company's Controlled Migration Suite was named the winner in the Directory Migration Tool category in CMP CMP (cytidine monophosphate): see cytosine.
