The privately-held company posted a 267 percent increase in revenue over the same period last year. August marked the third best sales month in company history, while the company had its best month ever in September, posting a 194 percent increase over sales in September, 1999. The company attributes its growth to the successful introduction of new products that support Microsoft Windows 2000, increased marketing, and the growth of International sales. The company has tripled its sales force since January and added resellers in Europe to strengthen its presence there. "Our strategy is to leverage our technology and experience to allow massive networks to migrate technologies without disrupting operations," said Aelita President and CEO Ratmir Timashev. "We migrate, recover and secure large enterprise networks better than anyone." Timashev said Aelita, which is on pace to more than triple its revenues this year, is currently tracking trends that could accelerate the company's growth in the next two quarters. "We see three trends driving our short-term growth: increased adoption of Windows 2000, the move to consolidate servers among Fortune 1000 companies, and migration to Microsoft Exchange 2000. We are uniquely positioned to capitalize on all three trends." Domestic sales highlights for the quarter included Unisys, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, LLP, J.D. Edwards & Company, T. Rowe Price, Chase Investment Services Group, Siemens Building Technologies, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Caterpillar Financial Services and Netigy Corporation.
