Stringent Microsoft Criteria for Reliability and Security

Aelita Software today announced that it has fulfilled the Windows Server 2003 certification requirements for three products, with plans to submit additional products for certification in the coming months. Aelita Enterprise Directory Manager(TM) (EDM), ERDisk(TM) for Active Directory and ERDisk for Windows have completed testing by VeriTest, and have met or exceeded all requirements for Windows Server 2003 certification. VeriTest, the testing division of Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq:LIOX), is the sole authorized certification lab for a number of Microsoft certification programs including the "Certified for Windows Server 2003" program. Aelita's full product line supported the new platform prior to its official launch in April, and customers are using Aelita products now for Windows Server 2003 migration, secure management and administration, and backup and recovery.

In addition to providing the certification testing for Aelita EDM, ERDisk for Active Directory and ERDisk for Windows, VeriTest uses these and other Aelita products in the VeriTest data center test labs as part of its comprehensive, independent testing infrastructure. In addition, Lionbridge relies on Aelita ERDisk for Active Directory as part of its IT infrastructure to ensure effective recovery of Active Directory objects (including all object attributes) without taking domain controllers offline.

Aelita Enterprise Directory Manager (EDM) offers a secure management platform for Active Directory and Exchange that integrates applications and other resources for rapid provisioning and de-provisioning of user accounts. EDM provides a "Rules and Roles" approach with the flexibility of "virtual OUs" for efficient management and delegation of control in Active Directory. EDM is certified at both the Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition levels.

Another Aelita customer, Siemens Power Generation, relies on EDM to manage a global network of more than 22,000 users. "The user creation process used to take up to 25 minutes, and can now be accomplished in about a minute."

Aelita ERDisk for Active Directory is the only product that enables 10-minute recovery of Active Directory, System State and Group Policy data in the event of corruption or inadvertent modification due to hardware/software failures or human error. ERDisk for Windows creates System State backups for collections of Windows NT, 2000, XP and Server 2003 computers remotely and across an entire network. The repair data is collected efficiently and can be stored centrally on a secure file server. Both the ERDisk products are certified at the Standard Edition level.
