Aelita Enterprise Directory Manager provides the control enterprises need to simplify and automate complex tasks of Windows 2000 and Active Directory administration, to improve network security and Active Directory integrity. Building on the Active Directory delegation model, it provides a business-rules based administrative structure that combines administrative policy enforcement, automation assistance, role-based administration and flexible administrative views.

Aelita Enterprise Directory Manager also solves a common administrative problem that exists in organizations with departments or functions that extend across geographic boundaries. Enterprise Directory Manager eliminates this problem by allowing the creation of Managed Units -- securable collections where any managed objects can be placed and any access templates can be applied -- enabling the management across Active Directory domains, forests and Organizational Units (OUs).

Enterprise Directory Manager includes templates that simplify the process of defining and granting administrative privileges based on corporate administrative roles. It also provides workflow automation to enable the automation of routine tasks, such as creating new users, saving hours of administrative time and accelerates account provisioning.

Enterprise Directory Manager is scheduled for release during the third quarter of 2001.
