Advocacy for Gender mainstreaming in Macroeconomics and the Poverty Reduction Strategy Process (PRSP) in Africa/Plaidoyer pour l'Integration du genre dans la Macroeconomie et dans le Processus de Reduction de la Pauvrete (PRSP) en Afrique.


In partnership with Oxfam-NOVIB, FEMNET is implementing a research project targeting five countries (Egypt, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda and Mall), specifically chosen to represent the five sub-regions in Africa (North, South, West, East and Central).

 process and its relationship to the national budget. The project will document the experiences of gender lobbies in the PRSP PRSP Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper

 process and provide an analysis of women's poverty in direct relationship to national macroeconomic policy. Case studies will use one target country in each of the five sub-regions of Africa (North, South, West, East and Central) to broadly extrapolate extrapolate - extrapolation  a continental, regional overview. It is envisaged that the data and analysis from the research will provide a sound basis for FEMNET to engage with the Ministry of Finance and Planning on macro-economic modelling and gender analysis and mainstreaming training in each of the five target countries.

Le projet Genre, Macroeconomie et Processus de Reduction de la Pauvrete (PRSPs) en Afrique inclut la recherche La Recherche is a monthly French language popular science magazine covering recent scientific news. It is published by the Société d'éditions scientifiques (the Scientific Publishing Group), a subsidiary of Financière Tallandier.  sur les principales dimensions du genre du processus de la SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol.  (Strategie de Reduction de la Pauvrete) et son rapport avec le budget national. Le projet va documenter les experiences du lobbying pour le genre au sein du processus PRSP et fournir une analyse de la pauvrete de la femme directement en rapport avec la politique macroeconomique nationale. Des etudes de cas vont se servir de l'un des pays cibles dans chacune de cinq sous-regions de l'Afrique (Nord, Sud, Ouest, Est et Centre) pour extrapoler globalement une vue continentale, regionale. Il est prevu que les donnees et l'analyse resultant de la recherche vont donner a FEMNET une base reelle de collaborer avec le Ministere des Finances et du Plan sur la conception modele en macro-economie et l'analyse du genre et la formation en integration du genre dans chacun des cinq pays cibles.
