Powell will serve as the new creative director and will head the agency's business development efforts. He has worked with Coca-Cola Co., Bank One, SBC (1) (SBC Communications Inc., San Antonio, TX, www.sbc.com) A large, national telecommunications company that grew from a multitude of local and regional companies, including Southwestern Bell, Pacific Bell and Nevada Bell, into a single, unified brand by 2002. and the Disney Channel. Holmes joins the company as senior art director. Previously, he was the senior art director for Cummings Advertising and Design in Aliso Viejo. Araki joins Nostrum as a senior designer. He has been assigned to work on the Universal Studios Pay-Per-View, Toshiba America Business Solutions, EID EID Emerging Infectious Diseases (journal) EID Electronic Identification EID Endpoint Identifier EID Employee Identification EID Ecological Interface Design EID Earned Income Disregard EID Education and Information Division and other accounts. Araki has previously worked on accounts for Kawasaki, Imperial Bancorp and Centinela Hospital. Schwerin has filled Nostrum's account executive position. She will manage accounts for Toshiba America Business Solutions and Newhall Land's Italian Street Painting Festival in Valencia. Schwerin was most recently an account executive at Marchese mar·che·se n. pl. mar·che·si 1. An Italian nobleman ranking above a count and below a prince. 2. Used as the title for such a nobleman.
