Nine of the 22 categories showed a decline for the two-month period, with the Computing/Software/Telecommunications sector showing the largest decline, 17.5%, in ad revenue. Thirteen categories showed a decline in ad pages for the same period, with the Aviation/Aerospace sector showing the largest decline at 10.1%. However, ABM said that advertising for all B2B media increased, with the face-to-face category showing an increase of 10% to $11.3 billion and exceeding magazine revenues. ABM President/CEO Gordon Hughes II said "it is becoming apparent that the era of transformation is upon us now. It is clear from the data that magazine ad pages and revenue are being out billed by events."
