Adventures of the puzzle squad.

Dugan's hero is the famous inventor, Thomas Edison. Dugan wants to know what Thomas was like as a young boy. Let's travel back in time with Dugan and Anita to meet Thomas.

Look at the picture closely. Do you see things that Thomas Edison invented? They are the:

* light bulb

* record player

* movie projector

* electric battery

* telephone

* electric lamp

* radio

DON'T TOUCH THAT!

Thomas likes to do science experiments. He has a laboratory at home. He marked all the bottles "POISON." Please circle the two bottles that look exactly the same.

PUZZLING PENNIES

Thomas saves pennies to buy chemicals for his experiments. Hidden in this picture are twelve pennies. Where are they?

LISTEN UP!

Connect the dots to see one of Thomas's future inventions. What is it?

KEY TALK

Dugan and Thomas are doing an experiment. Thomas is tapping out a message on a telegraph. The message is above the telegraph key. Now look at the Morse code key on the wall behind Dugan. Can you figure out what Thomas is saying?

WRONG YEAR

Dugan is amazed by what he sees on this train. Ten things were not invented until after 1879. Please circle them.

HOW MANY?

Dugan knows that Thomas lived to be eighty-four years old. How many things did he invent? To find out, count the number of 10s hidden in this picture. Then multiply your answer by eleven.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE!

Anita is puzzled. She knows that Thomas will invent the microphone and the record player. What else does she know about Thomas? Unscramble these words for the answer.
