AdventNet Enhances WiFi Manager; Offers Enterprises Multi-Vendor Access Point Management; Major Vendor Models Supported Include: Cisco, Proxim, 3Com, Symbol, Nomadix, HP, D-Link, NetGear, SMC, Avaya, Dell, Ericsson, Huawei, Linksys, and Mikrotik.

PLEASANTON, Calif. -- AdventNet Inc., a pioneer and leader in cost-effective network management software, today announced support for more than seventy models of access points, with the release of version 4.3 of ManageEngine WiFi See Wi-Fi. Manager. The Vendor-neutral solution ensures investment protection and enhances the productivity of IT administrators by providing a single interface for WLAN management, rather than having them log into multiple vendor-supplied application or vendor specific web interface.

ManageEngine WiFi Manager is an enterprise-class software for centralized management and security of Wireless LANs. It enhances the availability and security of WLANs by continuously monitoring the network, as well as airspace. WiFi Manager can detect almost all major wireless threats including: rogue attacks, intrusions, sniffers, DoS attacks, and vulnerabilities. It can also save time by enabling users to configure hundreds of access points with one click.

"WiFi Manager helps us configure and update all access points spread across the campus without any hassle. We especially like being able to manage several brands of Access Points with one management utility. In short, it has made life more comfortable," said John Diehl, Network Specialist for Kyrene School District, Arizona.

"Currently, it is very difficult for companies to stick with equipment from one single vendor, as the wireless industry is still maturing, and mergers, acquisitions and consolidations are frequently occurring," said Sivaramakrishnan, WiFi Manager's Product Manager and Lead Architect. "WiFi Manager, with its unique capability to manage more than 70 leading models of access points in the market, ensures uniform experience for administrators to manage heterogeneous environments," he added.

Complete list of supported access point models from different vendors is available at: http://ap.wifimanager.com/

ManageEngine WiFi Manager is available for download for Windows and Linux. The Free Edition never expires and can manage 3 access points. The professional Edition manages unlimited devices.
