Broadcaster in Singapore to Datacast over Broadcast Networks

SkyStream Networks, a leading provider of Broadcast Internet equipment, today announced that Advent Television Ltd., the world's first DVB-T digital television service provider and broadcaster, selected SkyStream's products for use in Advent Television's DataOne(TM) datacasting service. Advent uses SkyStream's DBN-25 Source Media Routers (SMRs) to instantly deliver multimedia-rich Internet services such as streaming video and audio, and television programming to personal computers and televisions across Asia, South America, Central Europe and the United States. By using SkyStream's innovative networking technology to deliver Internet content over broadcast networks, Advent Television can generate additional revenue by offering converged Internet/TV services to its existing viewers.
