Advantech introduces PCA-6003 full-sized single board computer. (Breaking News).

Advantech Network Computing has announced the release of its PCA-6003 Pull-sized Single Board Computer. The PCA-6003 is a general purpose Socket 370 Pentium III/Celeron single board computer with support for processor speeds up to 1.26 GHz. With low cost a major concern, the PCA-6003 is designed with carefully selected components that have full industrial features such as PCI/ISA form factor, watchdog timer, wide operating temperature and long MTBF. The PCA-6003 was designed as a solution for cost-sensitive users who need an industrial-grade computing engine. The PCA-6003 uses the PLE 133T chipset from VIA Technologies and is capable of supporting the newest socket 370 CPUs in the market, such as Intel's Tualatin-based Pentium III and Celeron processor up to 1.26GHz. An AGP VGA controller is integrated in the main chipset that shares the system memory as display memory up to 8 MB. Two DIMM memory sockets are available to offer up to 1 GB memory capacity. The Error Checking and Correction (ECC) function can be supported to detect and correct single bit memory errors. The chipset provides two enhanced IDE channels, which can support the new generation ATA-66/100 hard disk drives, providing data transfer rates of up to 66/100 MB/sec. Other on-board I/O functions include a 10/100 fast Ethernet port, a LCD flat panel interface, an AC-97 audio interface, two RS-232 ports, one parallel port and two USB ports. The built-in watchdog timer and CMOS automatic backup and restore function ensure reliability and durability.
