Advanstar Hires Former Newspaper Exec to Lead Skin Care and Pediatrics Publications.

MONTVALE, N.J. -- Advanstar Communications Inc., a leading worldwide media company, today announced that Peggy Onstad has been named General Manager, Group Publisher of the Skincare Group (Dermatology Times and Cosmetic Surgery Times), and Contemporary Pediatrics.

Ms. Onstad joins Advanstar from the daily newspaper and direct marketing industries where she has spent over 20 years at such organizations as The Denver Post, Los Angeles Weekly and Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing. Most recently she was publisher of Boston Metro Newspaper, owned by Metro International. In Boston, her 'start up' became the number one read daily paper in the city of Boston over the city papers, Boston Herald and Boston Globe, during her three-year tenure.
