Advanstar Digital Media Group Announces New Publisher for POST Magazine.

Advanstar Digital Media Group, publishers of POST Magazine, the leading publication for post production professionals, Monday announced the hiring of Kathleen Mackay as publisher of POST Magazine.

Mackay is a well-known industry professional, specializing in the pro audio market. Formerly the associate publisher of Miller Freeman An earlier subsidiary of United News & Media (www.unm.com). Miller Freeman was a leading trade show organizer and publisher serving a variety of industries. In 1996, it acquired the Blenheim Group, producers of the popular PC EXPO trade show, and in 1999, it acquired the CMP  PSN's Audio Trade Division, Mackay brings 14 years of experience directing Pro Sound News, System Contractor News and Replication News to leading positions in their respective markets.

POST Magazine, recently purchased by Advanstar Communications, specializes in editorial coverage of all aspects of post production, including audio, film, animation and various components of the post production universe.

With the POST Magazine acquisition, Advanstar announced the promotion of two key members of the POST staff. Ken McGorry, formerly the editorial director, has been promoted to associate publisher.
