Two publications from Advanstar Communications Inc., Contemporary Pediatrics and Medical Economics, have received the prestigious Jesse H. Advanstar Communications had three additional publications that were finalists for Neal Awards, including RN in the categories of "Best Subject Related Series of Articles" and "Best Regularly Featured Department or Column," Dental Practice Report in "Best How-to Article or Subject Related Series of How-to Articles" and Patient Care in "Best Single Theme Issue of a Magazine."

Contemporary Pediatrics won the Neal in the category of "Best How-to Article or Subject Related Series" for magazines with revenues under $3 million. The winning two-part series explained, step by step, how to conduct a physical exam that clears young people for participation in competitive sports. Contemporary Pediatrics is a "how to" magazine for pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.

Medical Economics is largely considered the best-read practical journal in the physician marketplace: informing, educating, and assisting busy primary-care doctors.
