The acquired magazine group includes Automotive Sourcing and Automotive Manufacturing Solutions, each published five times a year; Automotive Logistics and Commercial Vehicle Sourcing, each published quarterly; Automotive Light Metals (Chem.) the metallic elements of the alkali and alkaline earth groups, as sodium, lithium, calcium, magnesium, etc.; also, sometimes, the metals of the earths, as aluminium.

In a statement, Advanstar chairman/ceo Robert Krakoff said the acquired assets add "scale to (our) UK operations, and provide us a base to grow internationally in the automotive industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide.  with established magazines and a strong conference." The properties also complement "our leading presence in the U.S. automotive after- market industry for- which. we publish after-market Business, Automotive Body Repair News and Motor Age magazines."
