Toshiba Celebrates Success of New Product Introductions New product acceptance -- most notably in the color segment -- topped the list of reasons for Toshiba to celebrate at this year's events. Taylor shared that color hardware sales increased to 31 percent of TABS' business in the first quarter of 2004 (a record quarter for the company), up from seven percent in 2003. This increase is largely attributed to the market introductions of the award-winning e-STUDIO(TM)3511/4511 color-enabled monochrome multifunction products (MFPs) and e-STUDIO211c/311c color MFPs. Despite challenging economic and competitive environments, Toshiba continued its overall growth run. Taylor reported on the success of the company's Toshiba Business Solutions (TBS) division's dealer acquisition strategy -- with four competitive dealers being acquired and converted to Toshiba products in 2003 and two competitive dealers already acquired in 2004. Toshiba Spotlights Its Best New Products Recent new technology and system introductions have gained widespread acceptance among Toshiba's dealers and customers alike -- highlighting the company's commitment to providing a full copier product line and the adoption of color not of the white race; - commonly meaning, esp. in the United States, of negro blood, pure or mixed. Headlining the meetings was the high-speed/high-performance e-STUDIO900 and 1050 copiers, just launched last month and rounding out Toshiba's copier line by producing 90 and 105 pages-per-minute (PPM) respectively. Also featured were the company's e-STUDIO350/450 monochrome MFP (MultiFunction Printer, MultiFunction Peripheral) See all-in-one and MFD. series and the soon-to-be-introduced e-STUDIO200L/230/280 MFP series designed for small workgroups. Beyond hardware offerings, Toshiba also showcased its new print management program, reinforced the powerful sales tool offered by its Encompass program, and launched the powerful e-STUDIO KS-1000 file-sharing and document management system. "These are exciting times for Toshiba. These regional events were a huge success and allowed us to spend more time one-on-one with our dealers, sharing our business and product strategy for continued mutual growth and business success," said Taylor. "We're very bullish on the year ahead and are pleased to have had the opportunity to share that enthusiasm with our dealers." About Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc.
