The contract calls for delivery of 1,000 units of the Advanced Refrigeration Technologies (ART) Model 4000 and 5000 products. This is part of an ongoing commitment from 21st Century Energy to install products that are proven to save energy. These ART Model 4000 and 5000 controllers should provide electrical savings of as much as 3 million KWh per year for the next 15-20 years. This contract is valued at $400,000 to Advanced Refrigeration Technologies. With the ART 5000 product, the customer can monitor critical energy consumption data, so the actual usage and savings of energy is known. The customer is also given a warning if this data indicates a maintenance problem. Advanced Refrigeration Technologies is a developer and manufacturer of energy efficiency products for walk-in refrigeration.
