During the manufacturing process steel and fluff is removed leaving tire rubber with a granular consistency. .

Originating in the 1950s, the funds "hedge" by offsetting "short" positions (borrowing a security and then selling it at a higher price before repaying the lender) against "long"  products to the German marketplace and is now the managing partner of a private equity firm based in Bad Homburg.
