Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. Commences Consent Solicitation.


BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 1999--

Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. ("ART") (Nasdaq:ARTT ARTT,
n.pr See asymmetry/range of motion alteration/tissue texture alteration/tenderness.
) announced today that it is soliciting consents from the holders of its 14% Senior Notes due 2007 (the "Notes") to amendments to the related indenture.

Amending the Indenture is a condition to the proposed $251 million equity investment in ART by Qwest Communications

ART will pay a consent fee of $30 for each $1,000 in principal amount of the Notes outstanding to each holder of record who properly and timely delivers and does not revoke its consent to the proposed amendments. The record date for the solicitation is June 25, 1999, and the expiration date Expiration Date

The day on which an options or futures contract is no longer valid and, therefore, ceases to exist.

Notes:
The expiration date for all listed stock options in the U.S.
 for the solicitation is July 12, 1999, unless extended. Assuming that consents from holders of at least two-thirds of the outstanding Notes are received, the proposed amendments will become operative concurrently with the consummation of the investment.
