LIVERMORE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 2001

Advance Precision Technology, Inc. (PINK SHEET:APRE APRE Air Procurement Region, Europe ) The board of directors, today named John Hunepohl as acting CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and President of the company. This comes after the board accepted the resignation of Jim Gingo as the President and CEO and expressed appreciation for his efforts in bringing the current management into APT. Gingo fulfilled his commitment to stabilize the company and now returns to his original business as CEO of TransTech Systems, Inc.

Hunepohl joined APT on July 9, 2001 at the request of Gingo to review the business operations, products, sales and marketing. "Hunepohl accepted the challenge and performed far more than initially asked," stated Gingo. "His years of security industry experience and contacts are an and invaluable asset to APT. His past successes, experience in sales, marketing, project management, product development and manufacturing both of software and hardware products, has proved extremely beneficial to APT as we entered this new stage of our business."

Beginning in July, Hunepohl immediately streamlined production, implemented cost savings in manufacturing and operations, updated the sales and marketing literature and validated and strengthened the current HoloPass(R) market channel. On Thursday, September 13, 2001, Hunepohl inked the company's first formal reseller agreement with Digital Descriptor (1) A word or phrase that identifies a document in an indexed information retrieval system.
