, for Albert Einstein to conduct the Phase II human clinical trials on AIDS for the company's plant pharmaceutical product known as Perthon/Abavca.

The clinical trials, which are expected to begin shortly, will be conducted by chief investigator Dr. Aryeh Rubinstein of Albert Einstein. Dr. Rubinstein, recognized as one of the world's leaders in AIDS research, is an internationally renowned immunologist whose achievements include the prestigious Lifetime Award in Immunology, which he received in 1990 together with Drs. Fauci, Gallo and Salk.

Perthon/Abavca is the first whole plant pharmaceutical to ever receive IND approval from the Food and Drug Administration. The product is also the first and only whole plant pharmaceutical to reach Phase II human clinical trials for AIDS for an immune system immune system
