 "COLOR-CHEK." On July 22, 2003, company officials advised that plans were underway for extensive testing to commence by Aug. 20, 2003. The time table has been moved up as a result of preliminary readings which have exceeded expectations enabling testing to be underway in approximately 7-10 days. A full laboratory demonstration following these tests is now targeted for the week of Sept. 15.

"COLOR-CHEK," which will be produced to retail at an estimated price of $100 per unit, will offer a very cost-effective and valuable advance for the vision-impaired as well as offering the industry the ability to achieve higher production standards with color speech processing Speech processing is the study of speech signals and the processing methods of these signals.

The signals are usually processed in a digital representation whereby speech processing can be seen as the intersection of digital signal processing and natural language processing.
