:EYE] mourns the loss of its former chairman, William R. Grant, who passed away on April 15. He was 82.

"The board of directors and employees of AMO are deeply saddened by the passing of Bill Grant, who served as our chairman of the board until last May," said Jim Mazzo, AMO chairman, president and chief executive officer. "We are all very grateful for the dedication and support he provided as he led AMO through a critical stage in our development. His tremendous integrity, professionalism and wisdom will be greatly missed by all of us. We offer our sincere condolences to his wife, Adele, and his family."

Mr. Grant became AMO's chairman following the company's spin-off from Allergan, Inc. in June 2002. He resigned the chairmanship in May 2006 but remained a director of the company until his death.
