Advanced Liquid Logic Wins Prestigious Frost & Sullivan Award.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- Advanced Liquid Logic announced today that it has been awarded Frost & Sullivan's 2007 Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award for the advancement of both the company and its unique lab-on-a-chip technology.

In a recent analyst briefing about lab-on-a-chip technology Frost & Sullivan analyst Sangeetha Prabakar stated, "In the future, digital microfluidics is going to be the norm rather than the present day concept of continuous flow microfluidics." Advanced Liquid Logic's first product will employ digital microfluidics to perform a broad variety of liquid-based laboratory tests on small sample volumes - including clinical chemistry, immunoassays, and DNA amplification by PCR - all on the same portable instrument. The Company has recruited a number of lead users and is interested in additional evaluation placements for later this year. The Company is currently in talks with several major diagnostics companies and is interested in projects to address clinical diagnostic challenges.
