Advanced Interconnect Technologies (AIT) today announced that Delphi Electronics & Safety has again recognized the company for its flawless assembly of semiconductor packages used in critical automotive applications. Delphi presented the "2003 Excellence Award" to AIT in recognition of its dedication and commitment to supplying superior-quality products. Delphi's integrated systems and modules are designed to help simplify vehicle manufacturers' processes and meet the demands of today's high-tech vehicles.

In 2003, AIT supplied Delphi with primarily small outline integrated circuits (SOICs). AIT's SOICs, available in 8 to 28 lead counts, are designed for applications that require reduced size and are commonly used in electronic devices such as automotive systems. Other electronic devices that use SOICs include pagers, cordless phones, fax machines, copiers, printers, computer peripherals and A/V products.
