Advanced Health Corporation Announces Bukstel & Halfpenny Incorporated Information Technology Acquisition.


TARRYTOWN Tarrytown (târ`ētoun), village (1990 pop. 10,739), Westchester co., SE N.Y., a residential suburb of New York City, on the E bank of the Hudson opposite Nyack; settled in the 17th cent. by the Dutch, inc. 1870. , N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1997--Advanced Health Corporation (Nasdaq:ADVH) today announced the acquisition of Bukstel & Halfpenny Incorporated's (B&H) proprietary laboratory and other health care information technologies business. These technologies expand ADVH's product and service offerings which provide electronic linkages between physicians and other health care organizations. The primary acquired asset is B&H's DR. CHART system, which links physicians with hospital-based clinical systems such as laboratory, radiology radiology, branch of medicine specializing in the use of X rays, gamma rays, radioactive isotopes, and other forms of radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. , and pathology pathology, study of the cause of disease and the modifications in cellular function and changes in cellular structure produced in any cell, organ, or part of the body by disease.  systems.
