Advanced Financial Solutions Sets User Conference Attendance Record; Users Preview Newest Advanced Version AFS ImageVision 4.0 and AFS ImageDepot.

A record number of Advanced Financial Solutions (AFS) Users convened Thursday, September 28, 2000, in Oklahoma City for the annual AFS Worldwide Users Conference, this year entitled AFS Vision 2000.

AFS develops and markets software technologies to operate payment, transaction and document management systems. The company has emerged as a world leader in the field with over 6,500 institutions and businesses using the company's AFS ImageVision and AFS ImageDepot software products and applications.

Over 300 Users from around the world representing businesses involved in banking, finance, retail, energy, transportation and government are participating in this year's two-day conference.

"The turnout reflects the continued growth and reach our company is experiencing around the world," said Gary Nelson, AFS president. "The attendees in the past primarily came from the U.S. marketplace, but this year a sizeable number are International customers."

Sponsorships also increased this year. "Solution companies involved in the payment, transaction and document management businesses see an excellent venue in our conference to promote themselves and demonstrate their products," Nelson said. At the opening session Users heard Nelson present an overview of the company and introduce the company's expanded management team. In his remarks, Nelson attributed the company's rapid growth to its ability to listen to customers and develop solutions for all types and sizes of businesses.

"Our biggest challenge is to find ways to satisfy our customers by maintaining the agility to turn constant change into a competitive advantage for our customers and our company," Nelson said.

AFS' expanded management team is designed to keep the company close to its markets and customers. "The structure whereby senior level personnel have defined areas of oversight based on product application provides clearer and greater focus and promotes quick response to changing market conditions and customer demands," Nelson said.

Users will also get a sneak preview of the Company's latest version of AFS ImageVision. Called AFS ImageVision 4.0, the new version is feature-rich including expanded power, speed and scalability. Official roll out of the new version is slated for next month.

In addition, an upgraded version of AFS ImageDepot will be unveiled at the conference. The data retrieval, archival document management product contains new features to organize and access data easier and faster.

"We've always used our Users' Conference as a platform to introduce new technologies and applications. Branch Capture Processing was introduced to rave reviews at last year's conference. AFS ImageVision 4.0 and our newest AFS ImageDepot product mark two major product advancements in terms of the overall scale and scope," Nelson said.

Several special sessions throughout the two-day conference will show Users how to extend the effectiveness of image-based technology in their operations. One of the more popular sessions is entitled "How To Make Money With Image."

One of the highlights of the conference is the much-anticipated address by author Dr. Allen Lipis, Ph.D., CEO of Global Concepts. Dr. Lipis gained notoriety for his in-depth research of image technology in banking applications and is respected as an authority on fraud. He has been published extensively in major financial banking magazines and his latest book, entitled Electronic Banking, unmasked the image technology potential to help institutions and organizations dominate their markets.
