The Company announced a net loss for the third quarter of $666,138, or $.04 per share, as compared to a net loss of $731,880, or $.07 per share, for the third quarter of 1993. Net sales Net Sales The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted. Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight of $985,466 for the quarter represented a 59% increase over the third quarter of 1993 sales of $620,789. For the nine-months ended September 30, 1994, the Company reported sales of $2,725,016 which represents a 60% increase in sales from the nine-months ended September 30, 1993. This increase in sales in addition to an extraordinary gain of $879,373 previously reported for the first quarter of 1994 has resulted in a reduction in the net loss for the nine-month periods from $2,836,662, or $.26 per share, in 1993 to $1,531,839, or $.11 per share, in 1994.
