Advanced Communications Technologies Inc (OTCBB:ADVC) (ACT-US) today announced that technical papers prepared by representatives of the company's engineering team have been chosen for presentation at both the 3G Technical Strategies Conference in Geneva, Switzerland (April 3 rd-5th) and the IEEE sponsored 2001 International Conference on Third Generation (3G) Wireless and Beyond in San Francisco, USA (May 30th-June 2nd).

The selection of ACT engineers to present these leading edge papers is a powerful confirmation from the Global Communications Industry of ACT's leadership status in the 3G and wireless communications marketplace.

ACT's initial presentation is scheduled for Day Two of the 3G Technical Strategies Conference and is entitled `Achieving the Optimum Base Transceiver Station/Node B architecture for Single/Multiple Air Interface for 2G to 3G Migration'. To be presented by Paul Burns, ACT's DSP team Leader, the paper discusses the technical and strategic advantages of the SpectruCell hardware for the development of 3G software defined radio equipment.

The 3G Technical Strategies Conference is purported to be the most focused forum on 3G migration strategies, network planning and UMTS technologies and will host pioneers of third generation technologies such as Hutchison Telecom's Professor Ed Candy.

The company's second paper entitled `Cellular BTS SDR Framework' will be presented at the 2001 International Conference on Third Generation Wireless and Beyond by David Lynnes, ACT's Principal Engineer. The paper will elaborate on the impact of SpectruCell's architecture on the direction of 3G cellular and software defined radios.

The Third Generation Wireless and Beyond Conference is regarded as having the world's most authoritative technical collections on 3G/4G innovations as well as system/network/application design. There will be over 1000 participants involved in the in-depth discussions on these emerging technologies and business developments.

Importantly, selected papers from the Conference proceedings will be converted to IEEE or ACM Journals/Magazines as Special Issues on Next Generation Wireless Communications. This will potentially provide further venues for discussion of ACT's solutions for second and third generation networks.
