Advance Ticket Sales for ``A Bug's Life and Beyond'' at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre Soar to the $1 Million Mark.


BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1998--Tickets are flying out of the box office at Hollywood's legendary El Capitan El Cap·i·tan  

A peak, 2,308.5 m (7,569 ft) high, in the Sierra Nevada of central California. Its dramatic exposed monolith rises some 1,098 m (3,600 ft) above the floor of the Yosemite Valley.
 Theatre as advance sales for the 3-1/2-hour entertainment extravaganza "A Bug's Life and Beyond" soared to the $1 million mark over the weekend (Nov. 6-8), it was announced Wednesday by Richard Cook

Included in the ticket price is admission to the exciting new Disney/Pixar computer-animated feature, "A Bug's Life," at the newly reopened landmark Hollywood theater, plus 2 hours of additional fun at "The Bug House," located next door in the El Capitan Entertainment Centre.

The latter consists of three floors of fantastic fun, featuring two live stage shows ("The Great Bug Adventure" and "Behind-the-Scenes at Pixar") as well as interactive games and events themed to the film.

Commenting on the announcement, Cook said: "The response to `A Bug's Life' has been nothing short of spectacular and we know that audiences of all ages are going to have lots of fun with this great entertainment event.

Directed by two-time Academy Award-winner John Lasseter John Alan Lasseter (born January 12, 1957) is an Academy Award-winning American animator and the chief creative officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. He is also currently the Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering.  ("Toy Story") and co-directed by Andrew Stanton, "A Bug's Life" follows the exciting and hilarious adventures of a brave-but-misguided ant named Flik as he attempts to save his colony from a gang of greedy grasshoppers Grasshoppers may refer to one of the following:

When Flik mistakenly enlists an unemployed troupe of bug performers from a second-rate flea circus A flea circus refers to a circus sideshow attraction in which fleas were attached to miniature carts and other items, and encouraged to perform circus acts within a small housing. Fresnel lenses were mounted on all sides of the housing to allow visitors to view the attraction.  to join the fight against the grasshoppers, the stage is set for a climactic confrontation filled with action, comedy and surprises.
