Advance Nanotech Appoints Claudio Marinelli as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at University of Cambridge.

NEW YORK -- Advance Nanotech, Inc., (OTC BB:AVNA.OB - News), the premier provider of financing and support services to drive the commercialization of nanotechnology discoveries, today announced the appointment of Dr. Claudio Marinelli as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Center for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE) at the University of Cambridge in the UK. Dr. Marinelli will be responsible for managing Advance Nanotech's programs at CAPE, its associated investments in Cambridge, and will report to Advance Nanotech's Senior Vice President, Electronics Dr. Peter Gammel.

Dr. Marinelli brings significant project management experience to Advance Nanotech and CAPE. He has consulted to several start-up companies on issues of business development, project management and business plan conception. Prior to his consultant work, Dr. Marinelli was a senior device engineer with Luxnet Corporation - a Fremont, CA start-up company specialized in optical components. Subsequently, he became a senior research associate at the University of Cambridge where he initiated new partnerships between the university and industry leaders such as Intel, Epson and Dow Corning. Dr. Marinelli holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK and an MBA from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, UK.
