Following the closed-door meeting with the governor, the summit will continue with a broader invitation-only audience of business leaders, dignitaries and press. San Jose State University political science professor Larry Gerston will review key findings of SVMG's Economic Vitality Survey, followed by a panel discussion of economic recovery issues led by David Yarnold, editor and executive vice president of the San Jose Mercury News The San Jose Mercury News is the major daily newspaper in San Jose, California and Silicon Valley. Governor and Silicon Valley Leaders Address Key Economic Recovery Issues

The governor and Silicon Valley business leaders will focus on six issues central to the governor's economic recovery plan: the economic recovery bond, workers compensation, education, energy, housing and frivolous lawsuits.
