Adobe to Certify Financial Statements; SEC Statement Under Oath to Include Quarter Ending Aug. 30, 2002.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2002

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE ADBE Adobe Systems, Inc. (stock symbol) ), a leader in network publishing, today announced that the company will comply with the recent order issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission requiring the filing of sworn statements by the CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  of public companies with annual revenues greater than $1.2 billion.

In compliance with SEC guidelines, CEO Bruce Chizen and CFO Murray Demo will file the sworn statements on or before the company's due date of October 14, 2002. The certifications will cover the company's 2002 proxy statement Proxy Statement
