Adobe Ventures, Benchmark Capital, The Barksdale Group, and VeriSign Invest in Kontiki's $16 Million Series B Round.

Kontiki, which provides software to let enterprises easily equip their existing corporate networks to securely and automatically deliver advanced digital media, today announced that Adobe Ventures and VeriSign, Inc. have invested in Kontiki's Series B round of financing. Other investors in the $16 million round include Benchmark Capital Benchmark Capital is a venture capital firm responsible for the early stage funding of some very successful startups, including eBay. In 1995, the firm invested $6.7 million in eBay, which became worth more than $5 billion by the spring of 1999 and resulted in one of Silicon  and The Barksdale Group, both early investors in the company.

Outside board members include Intuit chairman Bill Campbell, Kevin Harvey of Benchmark Capital and Peter Currie of The Barksdale Group. With Series B, total investment in Kontiki has reached $34 million.
