"Educators throughout the world have come to rely on Adobe's award-winning software to engage and inspire their students to bring ideas to life on the Web, the printed page, and video," said Melissa Dyrdahl, senior vice president of corporate marketing and communications at Adobe. "The Adobe Master Teachers program gives us an opportunity to recognize the efforts of the most innovative teachers, at the same time share best practices with other educators."

"Technology needs to extend beyond the computer lab and into the classroom, enriching education across subject area," explains Adobe Master Teacher Colette Stemple from Coral Reef High School. "With the right training and the right software, technology is a vital tool for enhancing student learning."

The Adobe Master Teachers will proactively advocate Adobe technologies and solutions, as well as best practices with educators, by presenting and participating in workshops, seminars and national conferences. These teachers will be instrumental in the development of courseware, instructional resources and showcases provided to educators nationwide. When new products are developed or revised, these leading educators will be the first to make effective use of the technology to support learning objectives. As leaders in their field, they will work collectively to create curriculum, content, assets and projects that will help foster a dynamic learning environment in schools nationwide.

Adobe Master Teachers are selected through a referral process. Once selected, they receive a subscription to the Element K Online Pro Series, which provides training on Adobe products. Adobe is also planning to honor these teachers at an annual event.
