Adobe Honors Independent Filmmaking at Sundance Film Festival 2005.


SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Filmmakers to Experience the Latest Desktop HD Digital Intermediate Workflow at Adobe-Sponsored Workshops, Hands-On Classrooms and Digital Forums

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced its expanded commitment to independent filmmaking through its sustaining sponsorship of the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, which runs until January 30, in Park City, Utah. As filmmakers adopt the latest desktop digital technology for the completion of their productions, Adobe is participating in important industry events, such as the world renowned Sundance Film Festival, to honor their work. As part of its sponsorship, Adobe is participating in the Sundance Digital Center, hosting daily workshops and taking part in several digital forums during the festival.

At the Sundance Digital Center, Adobe is demonstrating its filmmaking solutions in two daily workshop sessions. The first session highlights a real-world example of a revolutionary new Adobe-based HD digital intermediate workflow, which allows filmmakers to mix media, add titles, effects and color correct within an all-digital workflow.  technology -- how it works, what benefits and challenges it presents, and how Adobe(R) Premiere(R) Pro 1.5 provide a rich editing experience for aspiring filmmakers. Hewlett-Packard and Intel will join Adobe in the Sundance Digital Center to highlight desktop and mobile HDV editing solutions. Adobe is also involved in three forums focusing on the future of independent filmmaking.

Adobe software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects(R) and Adobe Photoshop(R) CS, enables filmmakers to exercise their creativity and tell their story efficiently and cost-effectively. The Adobe Video Collection 2.5 Professional Edition for Windows(R) XP includes Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects Professional, Adobe Audition(R), Adobe Encore(TM) DVD, and Adobe Photoshop CS software for an estimated street price of US$1499. The Adobe Video Collection 2.5 Standard edition, which contains After Effects Standard and does not contain Photoshop CS, is available for an estimated street price of US$999.
