Adobe Appoints John Brennan as Senior VP of Corporate Development; Former HP Executive to Oversee Strategic Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Industry Alliances.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the appointment of John Brennan to the new position of senior vice president of corporate development. Brennan will manage and drive Adobe's strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and industry alliances. He will report to Adobe president and CEO Bruce Chizen.

Brennan comes to Adobe from Hewlett-Packard Company, where he was senior vice president of the company's worldwide small and medium business operations. In that role, Brennan was responsible for the sales and marketing of the portfolio of products targeted at the SMB segment. Brennan previously led HP's corporate development, including overall planning and related corporate investment activities. His responsibilities included evaluating major initiatives in new markets as well as the valuation, negotiation and execution of corporate development transactions across HP.

Prior to HP, Brennan helped lead the electronics and high-tech practice at Accenture, where he focused on both strategy and solutions consulting. He holds degrees from Yale University and the University of California at Berkeley.
