Adobe Acrobat Pro software is a complete package for professional designers, writers and publishers to create and distribute electronic documents. The software package allows users to create electronic documents -- complete with text, graphics, photos and color -- that can be viewed, searched or printed from virtually any computer or printer, regardless of the original authoring application or platform, an important requirement for publishing on the Web. Apple's Internet Server Solution with Adobe Acrobat Pro software is available now.

Adobe Acrobat Pro includes: Acrobat 2.0 software to create Portable Document Format (file format) Portable Document Format - (PDF) The native file format for Adobe Systems' Acrobat. PDF is the file format for representing documents in a manner that is independent of the original application software, hardware, and operating system used to create those documents.  (PDF (Portable Document Format) The de facto standard for document publishing from Adobe. On the Web, there are countless brochures, data sheets, white papers and technical manuals in the PDF format. ) files from any standard desktop application; and Acrobat Exchange 2.0 to view and print PDF files as well as annotate annotate - annotation , build navigational links into and add security controls to PDF files; Acrobat Search to easily retrieve PDF files by conducting full-text searches of indexed PDF files; and Acrobat Distiller software to convert any PostScript language file into a PDF file.

Adobe and Apple have worked together previously to bundle Acrobat software. In September 1994, the companies announced an agreement to bundle Acrobat Reader 2.0 software with selected Macintosh systems.
